Award of Excellence

The Award of Excellence, annually awarded by the Centre for Topographic Information (CTI), part of Natural Resources Canada, is a tangible public recognition of the quality of work to its best geomatics supplier. The winnner is selected based on deadline compliance, data quality, ability to respond to varied customer needs, and communications effectiveness.

CTI staff and management determine the winner. As such, this award clearly demonstrates the appreciation that CTI staff has for the employees of the company that produced high-quality digital topographic data.

The award recognizes the importance of excellence among partners of the National Topographic Data Base and Geospatial Database. Lastly, it underlines the fact that teamwork is essential for success in the fast-growing geomatics sector.

Recognition Citations

If CTI decides not to grant the Award of Excellence for the overall production work contracted out in the course of a specific year, it (CTI) may, however, award Recognition Citations to geomatics firms for specific types of work performed during that period.
